Position Overview

We are seeking an onsite Diagnostic Radiologist to support hospital-based imaging services at Wellington Regional Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have strong general diagnostic expertise and be comfortable interpreting a broad range of diagnostic studies. Experience and proficiency in mammography are strongly preferred, and candidates who are able to provide both Diagnostic Radiology and Mammography coverage are encouraged to apply.

We are also open to considering qualified Diagnostic Radiologists who may be a strong fit for the diagnostic portion of the position as we evaluate additional options for mammography coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret a full range of diagnostic imaging studies, including CT, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound, and other applicable modalities
• Interpret mammography studies if qualified and experienced in breast imaging
• Deliver timely, accurate final reads to support high-quality clinical decision-making
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
• Maintain compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Utilize the hospital’s EMR system for documentation and communication
• Participate in peer review, QA initiatives, and departmental meetings
• Provide consultative insights and recommendations to referring providers

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified / Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
• Active Florida medical license or eligibility for licensure
• Strong proficiency in general diagnostic imaging
• Mammography / breast imaging experience strongly preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced hospital environment

Practice & Coverage Model

• Full-time onsite hospital-based position
• Candidates with both Diagnostic Radiology and Mammography expertise are encouraged to apply
• We are also open to qualified Diagnostic Radiologists who can support the diagnostic portion of the coverage need
• Coverage needs may be addressed through one physician who can provide both Diagnostic Radiology and Mammography services or through multiple physicians with complementary areas of expertise
